Important notice on 2026 Service award application

10/5/2025

The application for the 2025 National Service Honor has concluded. We received the applications from over 30 members, for a total of 3900 volunteer hours. Thank you all for the commitment to community service!

To better streamline the application next year, PLAY Foundation has made a few important changes to the application process.

  1. The volunteer service period for the 2026 award is from August 17, 2025, to August 16, 2026.
  2. Applications submitted through the PLAY Foundation must have at least 40% of the total reported volunteer hours coming from activities organized by the PLAY Foundation.
  3. In the “Date” column of the volunteer application form, you must list a single date (e.g., 10/1/2025). Date ranges (e.g., 10/1/25–10/15/25) will not be accepted.
  4. For travel time to and from any event, hours should be recorded based on actual time spent, but no more than 3 hours may be claimed.
  5. For PLAY Foundation activities, the signature verifying volunteer hours must come from an adult of age 21 or older (typically the parent of the event organizer). The event organizer’s own volunteer hours cannot be signed off by their own relatives, but the President’s parents.Presidents should get signatures from the former Presidents’ parents or the current parent board members for organization-wise volunteer hours.
  6. For non-PLAY-Foundation volunteer hours, the verification must be signed by an adult of age 21 or older. The PLAY Foundation will verify the identity of the external signatory and the reported hours. The Foundation reserves the right to reject any non-PLAY-Foundation volunteer hours that are unclear or questionable.
  7. All signatures should be hand written. We don’t accept any signature of type-in styles.

The full guideline of the 2026 National Service Honor application can be found here.
