PLAY Foundation has been committed to raising money for the local community for 6 years, and this year is no different. Although schools and businesses across the County closed to help stop the spread of COVID-19, PLAY has continued to look for ways to help the community. PLAY’s annual musical showcase had to be cancelled, but they were still able to raise $7,500 for donations to organizations including Pleasanton Partnerships in Education Foundation-PPIE, the PUSD Foster and Kinship Program and SRVUSD Foster Youth and Homeless Education Services. On top of these donations, PLAY also donated 1000 fabric face masks and 1000 face shields to PPIE, Kaiser Oakland and the Tri-Valley Haven Food Pantry. The money was raised via PLAY Math, Engineering, Speech and Debate summer tutoring activities and mobile library.

The topic only needs to be about baking. Videos from your iPhone are okay. Anything goes! Use your imagination! It may be a simple recipe or just you having fun. May the most creative and the best video be the winner. Check the Event Signup page for details. Hopefully through this family contest, we will make our family relationships closer and we will record some fun and meaningful memory during this difficult pandemic.
