PLAY Foundation Music Group is going to have their first practice this year very soon on August 25th. Audition for new members will be held too before the practice. Please contact (925) 963-1230 to schedule an appointment.
You should choose one out of five topics and argue for which side of the issue you think is most persuasive. Discuss your perspectives using relevant evidence and philosophy. The evaluation of the essays will be split into 2 categories: Grade 6-8th grade and Grade 9-12th grade. All participants are invited to PLAY's award ceremony (location/date to be announced). The PLAY Foundation is organizing a Summer Camp seminar at the Summit Tutoring Center on August 11. Seniors from COSMOS & YSP camp will share their application tips and camp experience on the seminar. Students in grades 9, 10 and 11 who are interested in math, science and scientific research are encouraged to take the time to learn more about it. The event is expected to help children and parents in need, while reducing some concerns and better preparing for the 2020 application.
Don't miss this volunteer opportunity to help The Urban Farmers on Saturday, August 10, 2019, 9am-1pm. We will harvest fresh backyard fruit for donation to local soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters and the food bank. Typical harvests take about 3 hours and travel no more than 25 miles from the starting location. We will have all the necessary equipment, including buckets, picking-poles, ladders, clippers, and crates with us. Please remember to put on the PLAY Foundation t-shirt to show the spirit of PLAY Foundation!
To kick start the beginning of a new line of officers for the 2019-2020 school year, an officer meeting will be held on Sunday August 11th from 1:00PM to 3:00PM at Shengmeng Education Center in Pleasanton.
